It started out really well, he loved the costume and was running through the house saying "I'm Spider man, I'm Spider man!!" and at Grandma's house he said trick or treat really well and got his candy, but after dinner was a whole other story.....
At the house with the scary laugh and moving spiderweb he screamed and cried and wouldn't go up... Not a big surprise, he is only 2, but he went all drunken street fighter on the big blowup football gorilla in someone else's yard.
Every pumpkin he saw he would point and very cutely say "pumpkin patch" in his sweet little voice and then promptly kicked the crap out of them rolling them across peoples porches or yards. And this didn't just apply to real pumpkins, he did it to the big plastic fake ones and the ones that are actually landscape lantern covers... It was REALLY awesome!
More than once he took off running at full speed headed nowhere in specific, except into the line of traffic, and when I would catch him and swat his but, he would say "I walk please... please....PLEASE" and when I would say no, he said "Sharing is Caring" like I'm the bad person for not letting him run crazy through the street.
After about the 10th pumpkin, I gave up and came home. While digging through his bucket and shoveling crazy amounts of candy in his mouth, he took his shoes and socks off and then slipped on the tile and cracked his head... He has a new large bruise on his forehead above his right eye, AND below it... It's really awesome.
If I didn't love that kid so much I might leave him by the side of the road somewhere.
